SUPERSEED fills a critical gap by redistributing high-quality goods from corporate and public sector donors to organizations working with vulnerable groups in Singapore and the region. We are a Singapore-based non-profit organization committed to fighting poverty and promoting development through the distribution of superseded goods.
Every day, corporate and public sector agencies dispose of items in good condition when they refurbish offices and upgrade facilities. Currently, most groups simply throw out old items (taking up landfill space) or sell the goods at cheap prices to employees and re-sellers.
But there’s an alternative.
SUPERSEED accepts donations of computers, office equipment, medical supplies and more, warehouses the items, and then identifies matches with groups working at the grassroots level. We distribute the in-kind donations to grassroots organizations working with people in need, both locally and overseas.
Dear Mr Switow:
I'm glad that there are groups like Superseed who volunteer to help the poor to get access to computers.
I read the news (July 6th)
on Yahoo Asia that you are donating 54 computers to nine schools in Zamboanga City, Phillipines with the help of the US Navy. Thank God for that!
As a Filipino myself, I would like also to be a part in helping my countrymen. If you still plan to donate more computers to the Philippines (especially in Mindanao island where I also live) in the near future, I would be willing to volunteer in any way I can. By the way, I'm a self-employed net cafe operator and do take care of my computers myself. I'm also feeling the economic pinch (no I'm not rich) myself.
So just drop me a line, if you need me. Below are my contact details:

Hi Jun,
Thank you so much for posting your comments on the SUPERSEED blog.
I would actually really like to donate computers to schools in
Mindinao. GILAS -- our partner in The Philippines -- is dedicated to
placing computers in public schools throughout the country. The
problem is logistics. We need to find free (or sponsored) transport
from Singapore to a port in the southern Philippines.
Any ideas? The Philippines Navy or Singapore Navy maybe?
Alternatively, perhaps a company with business in Mindinao could
sponsor a shipment.
All the best,
Michael
